BIO

Amy Carr is a Philadelphia musician. Her first release, "I Divide" brought her local, national and international attention via radio, internet, television and, of course, through her live shows

It also earned her the recognition and praise of nationally renowned radio station WXPN-FM 88.5 (home of the World Cafe). She became one of the stations five most requested artists after being included in the morning shuffle. "I Divide" was also added to the British Archive of Music in England and received airplay all over the world, including stations in the USA, Canada, Austria, Holland, Sweden, The Netherlands
& Australia.

"Blink" is Carr’s second offering from indie label Evil Twin Records.

"Blink" is a bluesy mix of folk and rock that touches on a myriad of different subjects, from lust to mistrust and everything else in-between. The song "Third Line" is receiving specialty spins on commercial radio station WPLY Y-100FM and since being released, every single song on "Blink" and 'I Divide" has been played on-air.

Amy's gift for catchy songwriting is comparable to Sheryl Crow, Ani Difranco or The Pretenders, but it's hard to pinpoint who she really sounds like - no one's ever been able to place her voice... it's UNIQUE. Sorta like smooth-n-gritty or sweet-n-sour or, well, ya gotta just hear her to figure it all out.

Amy and her band are currently working on their 3rd CD.

Amy and her band share an extraordinary energy on stage and were chosen from a 4 state region as finalists in the Levi's National Talent Competition to play Lilith Fair.

Voted one of Philly's BEST female-fronted bands in the Dueling Diva's Competition.

VH-1 Music Television
had a crew fly out to Philly to shoot an interview and some cool video footage of Amy singin'... She’ll be featured on VH-1's show, "Sound Effects"
Amy and her identical twin sister Lisa have co-written songs, produced 2 CD's, written a novel & are published in the anthology, "Expanding Circles: Women, Art & Community". They recently appeared in the independent film, "In His Wake" as... identical twins (of course!) and wrote the score as well.
