This picture is cool because I am sitting there (I'm the one with my back turned) working on a rendition of this song. I started writing it on a bridge in Florence, Italy at 4am on a rainy morning.  Here I am moved now to a sidewalk and a bit soggy and well, not very happy!!  We were waiting for a bakery to open it's doors. We had an all-nighter that night. Every time I sing this song it makes me want to travel!

Amy and Lisa and backpackin' friends on a sidewalk in Florence, Italy.  Not happy.

Dead End Street

It's four o'clock and raining out
Rain  Rain  Rain
I walk till my feet hurt - Rain  Rain  Rain
And I don't know where i'm headed after all,
In this world I am so very small.
Don't mess with me, my desperate soul,
I look frightened but can be so very bold.
And I've come to Dead End Street
With no light on - no light on
It's seven now and raining out - Rain  Rain  Rain
subdued thoughts and soaked socks - Rain  Rain  Rain
And I don't know where i'm headed after all,
In this world I am so very small.
And I've come to Dead End Street
With no light on - no light on
These streets are so quiet I can hear my heart.
Fire and rain, they kill in the dark.
Echoes of remembrance plague my mind,
While I sit here and kill my time.
And I've come to Dead End Street
With no light on - no light on
And I've come to Dead End Street
With no light on - no light on
With no light on - no light on.
